- @House_PR @Gorkana @Ffion_Eleri Why, thank you. 14 hours ago
- Mario Gotze to miss Champions League final. Very sad news - not least for journalists who've spent a week writing profiles of him. 17 hours ago
- @AA_Richards You're right - Robben could hardly miss from there. 19 hours ago
- @samb8s Yep. Mind you, most Robben goals are real 'Robben goals', what with his complete lack of a right foot and everything. 19 hours ago
- Having a bit of an Arjen Robben session today. There have been few better goals than this in the last five years: http://t.co/cSqGOQiC9F 19 hours ago

Is there a special reason why this goal didn’t qualify? Wasn’t it eligible for some reason?

It was a stupendous goal, but I try to only include goals scored in the major European and South American leagues or in international competitions because I don’t think you can fairly assess the merit of a goal unless you know a little bit about the context of the game in which it was scored.
That Burrows goal was indeed amazing.
For next weeks edition, all 3 goals are well worth a mention in this match, although the last one is by far the best, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdFpMd67BTE&feature=related
This is the 2nd leg of the playoff between Iceland U21 and Scotland U21 for a spot in the Euro U21 Men Finals in Denmark next summer. Iceland won previous leg 2-1 and this second leg 2-1 as well.
The two Icelandic goals scored by Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson (FH, Breiðablik, Reading and now 1899 Hoffenheim) and the Scottish goal by Cristhoper McGuire, a lovely taken high flier over the Icelandic goalkeeper who was egging his team on, only to end up with they yolk on his face :p
